Most Successful Team of the Asian Cup will be aiming to Win Fifth trophy in This UAE Competition Starting from the 5th January date
Head coach of Japan football team Mr. Hajime Moriyasu has been named the 23 Man squad for the upcoming AFC asian cup 2019 at UAE.
Maya Yoshida Centre Back of Southampton was named in Japan’s 23 Man players squad for the 2019 Asian cup But team Leicester City striker Shinji Okazaki and Borussia Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa were both omitted from the list.
32 Years old Okazaki is Japan’s Third highest scorer but still failed to place in the tournament while 29 Years old Kagawa is on the fringes for the Dortmund and just four appearances for the german club for current season.
That Means coach will go without their Main veteran players like of Shinji Kagawa, Keisuke Honda, Shinji Okazaki and go with Yongsters.
“Of course, I wanted help from experienced players, those who went to the Russian World Cup and those who have led Japan for years,” Moriyasu told a press conference.
“Many of the players whom we selected at this time have only limited experiences. I have chosen them with hopes that they would take the ownership of the team and build the national team themselves and fight for the title.”
Japan who won the Asian cup recently in 1992, 2000, 2004 and 2011. Team japan starting the Asian cap UAE campaign on 9th January by playing the game against Turkmenistan.
According to Fixtures of 2019 AFC Asian cup Japan team will be Drawn in the Group F so in the group stage team to face Uzbekistan, Oman and turkmenistan.
“Japan’s national team did not win the title last time. We will reclaim the Asian Cup and bring back the title,” Moriyasu said.
